The strangeness that is me.
I tried the poor, non-profit, food-stamp, AmeriCorps lifestyle and it didn’t quite work out so well for me. So I started writing. To see where I could go, where I’ve been, and it never hurts to have your life in words. After about a year in Berkeley, the world shifted and threw me out; there’s only so many ways a city can reject you before you get the hint. So I left. And traveled. And now it’s back to the ways of New York City, where life hits the fast pace again. At least until the wind shifts and another city calls my name.
My philosophy is to try everything once within reason - you never know where you’ll end up. It’s worked pretty well for me - my adventures know no limits. Maybe I’ll get a chance to write about them, but chances are, I’ll forget about them before I get a chance to remember them due to new ones that happen.
I have a lot of quirks and quandaries. One that figures prominently is I’m a dancer who has the worst balance you’ve ever seen. I fail at being traditionally romantic and sweet. I am more skittery than gooey. I get distracted by butterflies. And anything else.
Things that will win me over undoubtedly: gummi bears, vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, Smarties, goofiness, and a well-placed smart-assed remark.
Things that I am okay without: vaccuum cleaners. We have issues. As in we are polarizing opposites - one cannot live while the other survives. Consider us Harry and Voldemort. Also. I don’t like chocolate. I am confessing a very big discrepancy to my girlitude.
Oh. And I have some ridiculously awesome people in my life.
Also. You can read more here.

I grew up in the East bay and when I went to school in the south I couldn’t understand why it was impossible to get avocados :).

“I don’t like chocolate. I am confessing a very big discrepancy to my girlitude.”
Your writing is brilliant. Bet you haven’t had people say that a million times fast.

I moved to CA from the south and the availability of avocados is a wonderful wonderful thing. I think I’m addicted to them. Came to your site via Indie Bloggers. Love your writing.
